PHOTOGRAPHS

Bo has worked with numerous photographers during his long tenure as a musician. Two of those photographers, Jim Herrington of Nashville, TN, and Sandy Dyas of Iowa City, IA, have contributed a wealth of material that has appeared on tour posters, album covers and promotional materials. We've collected a number of their (and Bo's) favorites for our website photo album.

Jim Herrington Photos
Born in Salisbury, N.C., Jim Herrington lived in Los Angeles, New York City, Santa Fe and other locales before accidentally ending up in Nashville. When not photographing long forgotten country and blues practitioners, Jim has been known to occasionally shoot the odd album cover or magazine spread to keep beans on the table. His work with Bo includes the cover for the 1997 Trailer Records release In The Weeds.

Sandy Dyas Photos
Sandy Dyas has been a fan of Bo Ramsey since the summer of 1981, when she met him at Cooper's Wagon Works in Dubuque, Iowa. A visual artist/photographer from eastern Iowa, she's been shooting performance photos and portaits of Bo and his band (as well as several other artists on the Trailer Records label) for more than 10 years. Currently she is working on a music video of "In The Weeds," a Bo Ramsey song that she feels captures an honest picture of his life as a working musician on the road in Iowa.

A collection of shots taken while Bo was in the studio producing and playing on Pieta Brown's latest release (expected Fall 2004). With Pieta Brown, Greg Brown, and Iris Dement.

Spring Tour 2000
Bo spent the spring of 2000 touring with Greg Brown, Ani Difranco, and Gillian Welch. Susan Alzner captured them onstage at the Avery-Fisher Hall in New York.
